A New Chapter

Had my first class this week.

We were asked to assemble/wrap/create a design with a single flower. Without any training and no idea what I was actually trying to create, this is what resulted:

Meh.. just a flower wrapped in paper. The activity was all too sudden, you see. No time to think about it. And with all the rustling of paper, and vines, and hay throughout the classroom, I really felt the need to rush.

Then, I got home and did this:

What is it? I don't know. This is me being creative. I like the proportions. And I think I would buy this if I saw it in, say, Kyoto.. wouldn't you?
